The Recycling
Process
(Please allow a
few minutes for our pictures to load)

1.
Recyclables are collected in trucks and unloaded onto the tipping floor.
2.
Recyclables are sorted by workers. Fibers (paper, cardboard,
newspaper) and milk jugs are removed on the upper line (picture on left).
Other plastic bottles and glass are separated on the lower line (picture on right).

3. Aluminum
cans are collected by the Eddy Current (pictured above)
and steel food cans are collected by the over head magnet (not pictured).
4. Sorted
recyclables are pushed into the baler one type of material at a
time. Bales of material are then loaded onto semi-trucks and
transported to facilities who will create new products from the
materials.
